(Clockwise) Coach Steve Westphal with Greg Carpenter '78, Dale Woodford '77, David Howe '76, and Howard Baker '77 were one of the top 440 and 880 yd relay teams in the state. Their exchanges were so clean that they beat teams with more pure speed winning conference and district titles. The would have been a contender for the state title in the 440 relay, but in the 70's they didn't run that relay at district or state.
